Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute scheduled system patching, updates, and security audits during weekend maintenance windows.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software network issues reported by internal stakeholders.
- Manage user access permissions, accounts, and security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with the on-site IT team to document technical processes and create runbooks for weekend procedures.
- Perform routine server health checks and perform preventative maintenance on network equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or network administration.
- Mandatory: Must be available to work full-time weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remote office locations within Long Beach.
