Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, application performance, and network traffic during weekend shifts.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, patches, and updates to ensure system security and reliability.
- Triage and resolve critical technical incidents with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with the on-call team during handovers to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
- Document all system configurations, changes, and incident resolutions in the knowledge base.
- Conduct routine backups and disaster recovery drills to safeguard company data.
- Optimize database queries and storage solutions to improve system efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration or engineering.
- Proven availability to work a full-time schedule that includes weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and team updates.
