Responsibilities
- Monitor Network Health: Continuously track system performance, server status, and network traffic to ensure optimal uptime.
- Incident Response: Receive and troubleshoot alerts from monitoring tools, escalating critical issues to senior engineering teams.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine backups, patch management, and configuration updates during off-peak hours.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the ticketing system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with L1 and L2 support teams to resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
- Shift Coverage: Adhere strictly to the weekend and night shift schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NOC or IT Help Desk role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Shift Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.
